Best Hikes & Accommodation in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Dolomites, Italy.

Cortina d’Ampezzo is an easy base for big days and simple leg-stretchers alike. Buses and lifts get you close to the good stuff, the trail signage is solid, and there’s no shortage of post-hike pizza or gelato back in town. The three classics nearby, Croda da Lago (Lago Federa), Sorapis, and Tre Cime, aren’t technically “in” Cortina, but they’re close enough to be straightforward day trips. Expect a mix of forest paths, balcony views, turquoise water, and a couple of very tidy rifugi for coffee or lunch.
